For as long as I can remember I have been searching for a ‘home’, a place where I could feel I truly belonged. I have lived all over the world and have had to uproot often, leaving me with a never-ending feeling of missing out and losing touch: having to let go of the past time and time again. A constant identity battle, who was I and where did I belong?

Moving around the world, however, also gave me the opportunity to really ‘see’ and experience what all the foreign countries that I have lived in, had to offer. Finding newness in food, vegetation, seasons, smells, religions, architecture and art shaped the person that I became. Being regularly faced with new, varied cultures on different continents of the world, allowed me to experience and draw inspiration from the diversity around me.

Inspired by the natural beauty of each country I have called home, morphed with elements of the 90’s club kids which stood for inclusivity and belonging, each of my garments have been handcrafted using sustainable and recycled fabrics only.

Fashion gives people a voice, a unique way of self-expression. Every day, most of us carefully consider what to wear as the clothes that we wear define who we are.  Fashion also allows beauty to be combined with a sense of belonging wherein unity within a community is created, but if we do so by harming the world around us, it truly destroys the beauty of the creation. Every component of fashion directly or indirectly affects nature and therefore as a designer it is essential to find a way to successfully take ideas, from the concept to the final creation, without damaging or destroying the environment in the process. In a world where everything is ever changing there is a constant need to adapt. We therefore need to make decisions with a curious and open mind, with precise knowledge of the world we live in. I commit to finding ways to attain garments in a more sustainable, environmentally friendly way.
